They won FIRST PRIZE, a trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

The Band won 1st Prize on this day against many bands. 1st Prize was an all expense paid trip to Atlantic City, NJ to lead Ontario Lions in the Lions International parade down the boardwalk in Atlantic City.
 
The Parade included bands and Lions from all over the world. Over 300 units competed in the parade. Bowmanville Legion Pipe Band placed 2nd in its class.
